im on cable...:)
512k Broadband for me :) I was on 56k for a long long time and don't know how I ever managed to work with it now I'm on a faster connection :p
broadband 512k blueyonder (UK).
Love it! Nothing better, the only reason for it to be slow is the server on the other end (I find Digital Dream Co the slowest http://www.digitaldreamco.com )
I am on DSL, 1.5MB down/256KB up. The speed I really get is about 1.3MB/250KB. Service has been rocky the past week.
And I asked this question a few weeks ago for some reason.
56k :(
still trying to perswade my folks that cable would be benificial to them also :p

Worked for me! What setup have you got at the mo? 2nd telephone line with flat rate internet? If you do that with AOL flat rate and a BT telephone line in the UK, broadband is £0.21 extra a month!
here in my land there is a monopoly of a state run telecom company , which will end in sept. this year as WTO has asked the government to let the other parties also enter in this field . i heard that big names like AT&T , BT , deutche telecom , AOL , MSN and many many more r taking interest to invest in this ector . so expecting big bannwidth and pipeline r way . waiting anxiously for dec.2002 .
Big? BT? AOL!?!?! ha ha. They may be big but they are rubbish. BT are expensive and hard to find, AOL are expensive and in my experience slow, I don't know about AT&T, so the only one left would be...!
MSN
Kill me
new to this , havent experienced it , so thats y , ok if u say so that MSN is the best , i'll wait for them to enter here .
In my experience, the best companies are the little small ones that not many people use. blueyonder is one of the smallest, and is one of the best as well.
dsl slow but stable (telenor)
We will strangle everybody with fibre cables in the future, your right about that. Fibre is the only lenghty :D thing in the speed business.....?Quote:

You do often get a better, more personal service from a smaller company but don't forget that most small companies are more likely to be affected by changes in economic climate.Quote:

We're with NTL (UK) Broadband and it's been relatively trouble free which is lucky because their customer "service" is truly appaling!
ADSL, and loving it!
6 comp's online day and night at a good speed :D
DSL 768/128 ... very happy with it ... wouldn't turn down a T1 connect. though :D
Cable!
300kb/s down
Enough up.
Saving up for my T3. This will have to do for now! :D
I use a T1 at work and it's OK until the firewall screws everything up [The Boss configured it]
At home I use a cable connection and I love it :D
Mystique
Cable, works GREAT!
Cable Connection.
Official: 1500 kb/s downstream - 300 kb/s upstream
Actual: 400 kb/s downstream - 50 kb/s upstream
FlashGet is nice for downloading 5-10 chunks at 100-300kb/s.
