How do I get a scratch card effect in flash?
I want the grey bit to disappear when the user moves their cursor over it.

Use the custom cursors feature and change the cursor to a coin when the person moves their mouse over it...

Thanks! This will definitely help. I now just need to figure out how to do it more realistically (without blocks). Perhaps if the blocks were exceptionally tiny?
