sorry for the long-winded subject line! But I wanted to be specific.
is there a workaround for getting dynamic text to show up properly in swf's that are loaded into a main swf (via targeted empty MC's)? [edit]i'm wrong! it is not only dynamic text (in scroll bars) but also some static text! i can't see any rhyme or reason to this. any ideas?![/edit]
my static text shows up okay, but it is the dynamic that doesn't come in. any ideas? thanks.

The only thing I can think of right now that might make your text disappear is...
Is your text being masked? If so unmask it and see if it works.
I just tried doing it myself and it worked fine, but if I moved the movieclip it was loading into around the text itself seemed to move off the stage. Try movie your movie clip around as a test.
Hope this rambling helps

hi guys,
thanks for the tips. embedding the font. remind me flipsideguy, how do i do that? i'm using _sans font.
I don't think it's the MC and masking....check it out for yourselves:
http://doctoredmedia.t35.com/flash_content/nav.swf(if this link doesn't work just cut and paste into your browsers)
if you click on the portfolio square on the bottom you will see how weird it is. the vertical text (medical and corporate) work fine, but the horizontal text that is supposed to be over that blue button in the middle isn't there. when I make the blue button text vertical as well, it shows up fine!!! but of course i can't have vertical text here, and i don't want to break it apart. and this still doesn't solve my prob of the dynamic text not showing up (in the adjacent scroller areas). do you see what i mean? i've been frustrated w/ this all night. thanks again.
