Jason,
That's awesome! Here's just a couple of suggestions....
- If it's the kitchen sink then some soap suds or dirty dishes :)
- More seriously, when the droplet hits the water it splashes fine but perhaps the background could either shimmer at the same apparent 'frequency' as the wavelets and/or move slightly vertical as well and/or go out and come back into focus.
- Take the water shimmer out??
Anyway, I take my hat off to you!
Cheers,
Kusco

It seems very good to me. But if its thought is to make it more believable the water, suddenly the letters of their name could initiate to move from opposite ends and when being united in the center of the logo, they could produce a Splash. or perhaps some waves appeared.
Of all ways it's very interesting, personally would leave it thus.
Joseph!
Again!
Jason personally, I've tried to reproduce the effect of the water, in my animations. As reference observes these animations, if you please, these are my practices, with the only spirit to interchange concepts.
It can consider the transparency of the surface, the speed of propagation the waves, the reflection of the water mirror for a more real effect.
Suddenly it could prove a texture animated, with some frames created from another software and to include them in its logo to obtain the effect that you look for.
Make with Ripple Rain y Dynawave, Plugins for Truespace ver. 5.1

Make in Blender and 3DFA.

Sincerely I think that the effects are very interesting that You only obtained with 3DFA.
Congratulations!
Joseph
Thanks for the sugestions............
I put a reflection of the sink in the water, and added some vertical movement to the water as well. Thought about the soap bubbles, but decided instead to put a couple of air bubbles(is that the right word?) towards the sink edge.
It's always good to get someone elses perspective, heres the updated file:

Joseph, those are some great animations. Do you know of any good Blender tutorials(last I checked, their site was still down)?

Jason,
You've got to post the movie file...I think that it's awesome.
Jason,
The additional features have made the animation even more astounding.
Welldone!

Check out what the explosions are doing, the rest is just timing out the waves.

It’s a true one hurts that Blender has closed its doors, but I believe that is by very just a short time. Personally this saddens to me much.
Blender is the inexhaustible source of the Creativity and will appear again of ashes like the bird fenix. Of that I’m very safe.
Of course there are several sites with very good tutorials. This Link will allow him, to contact with several sites of Blender’s users
