Wildform is pleased to announce the release of Flix 2.5 Pro for Windows and Mac, which features Wildform’s Flash MX and Flash FLV video output. This makes Flix the only software that outputs all types of Flash video:
1) Wildform's new, high quality Flash MX video with both 1-pass and 2-pass VBR. Wildform's Flash MX video, which plays in the Flash 6 player, uses high quality video compression that is comparable to Quicktime, Windows Media Player, and Real. It can be brought into the Flash authoring tool with Load Movie;
2) Flash .FLV files needed to import Wildform's MX video into Flash (both 1-pass and 2-pass VBR). FLV video is only for importing MX video into the Macromedia Flash authoring tool - it does not play in a player;
3) The ubiquitous Flash 3-5 video. Flash 3-5 video plays in any Flash player versions 3-6 and streams to virtually all platforms and browsers – even through firewalls (note: mp3 audio will not play in the Flash 3 player). It can be brought into Flash with Load Movie, or imported by selecting "Create importable SWF" in the SWF tab. (According to a December, 2001 NPD Research study, 98.3% of all Web users have Flash 3-5 installed.); and
4) Flix's one-of-a-kind vector video. Flix's vector video plays in any Flash player versions 3-6 (note: mp3 audio will not play in the Flash 3 player). The vector video can be brought into Flash with Import and Load Movie.
Flix is essential software for Flash developers, web designers, animators and video professionals. It is one of the easiest and best ways to put video on the web and in CD Roms, and its vector video output also makes it a powerful new tool for animators, since Flix can turn any video into an animation that can be edited in the Flash authoring tool. Flix's vector video consists only of lines and curves defined by mathematical equations that can scale to any size without distortion.
Flix comes loaded with time saving features, designed to enable users to encode video, add their own customized elements and post it on the web in minutes. These features include:
· bitrate control
· encoding presets
· batch encoding
· overlays
· links
· play controls
· auto-preloader
· variables
· Win and Mac projectors
· file “stitching”
· html output
· .wav/.mp3 output.
Flix also makes it very simple to create video banner ads and e-mails, and deploy customized media players.
Flix is available for Windows and Mac.
