ok -- detailed scenario here:
i have a page set up into 3 rows, each a different frame. each one has its own flash movie playing in it.
is it possible to click on a flash button in, say, the middle frame, which causes something to happen in each of the two other framed flash movies? (ie; change background color, or animate some text, etc).
not have the top and bottom frames load up a new flash movie, but have them jump to a different point or scene within the same flash movie.
i guess, essentially, the question is: can you control one flash movie from another flash movie?
i know frames are horrible, but im trying to set up frames around a message board (and until i hear about a better way to intergrate MBs onto a flash site **NOT POPUPS** i gotta stick with frames)
thanks for any help you can provide!

Im just going to point you in the right direction. You need to use a scripting language (php, asp) to send and fetch variables and then you need to be checking for those variables constantly with a looping movie clip in each of the flash movies which in turn will react according to the variables it recieves.
I suggest you take a tutorial on this as its a bit much to go into here.
good luck

...i could have sworn i responded to this...
anyway...
thanks for the direction-pointing WR!
but, honestly, that makes it sound like discovering the secrets of the universe to me -- just a *tad* over my head ;)
and, if thats the only way to get it to work; thats what it requires, then odds are, ill just have to find a way around it, unfortunately :(
thanks anyway, tho!
