I just downloaded the Swish demo but every time click the text tab in the program it crashes? Any Help?
it says there's a problem with GDI.exe??
I am having the same problem with the demo on my system (except it just locks...doesn't actually crash). I am running a dual celeron WinNT 4.0 system with 256 megs and a Matrox G400Max card. Any sugestions would be welcome (as a side note the program works fine on my laptop, and is really great, I just don't want to register until I can actually work on the machine I do Flash work on....too much trouble to keep moving stuff around).
I have the same problem too.

This problem has something to do with the number (or type) of fonts you have on your system. The font combo box seems unable to handle a very large number of fonts, or perhaps certain kinds of fonts -- we are unsure which.
This is a difficult bug to fix because we don't have any machines where we can reproduce the problem, so any clues you can give us would be a great help.
Cheers, David.
There is another bug with Adobe Type Manager for Windows NT that causes both Flash and Swish to crash when you use PostScript Type 1 fonts. This bug occurs on Windows NT only.
Please read this technote from Macromedia: http://www.macromedia.com/support/fl...ts/tn4105.html
"On Windows 95/98/NT, you must use TrueType fonts with Flash. PostScript Type 1 fonts may display properly during authoring if Adobe Type Manager (ATM) for Windows is installed, but will not break apart or export to SWF format and may cause crashes in the Flash editor. If you experience crashes and you have ATM enabled, disable it to use Flash."
In fact, this bug only affects Windows NT, so Win95/98 users can use Type 1 fonts without problems.
Cheers, David.
I own Swish and it crashes often as well. Not just the program, but my entire system. However, for me it is after previewing a text effect (most often wave). I have something like 1027 fonts on my system, so it could be caused by the same thing.
