hello everyone...
in case you are interested, i just posted one of my little and funny (well, i hope) games here:

"sorry" for the french dialogs, but... the game is intuitive, believe me ^^
score to beat: 290pts
(there's a save feature: it saves your score, the time and date)

ps: the soundtrack is cute, so don't hesitate to explode your loud speakers ^^

i liked the animations and the graphics - but you should start up your game at a higher rate of falling - otherwise it gets boring in the beginning.
but kudos to you, very nice game!
here's a suggestion
when the guy reaches the border of the screen - dont make it an invisible wall - instead make the guy appear at the opposite side of the screen (like in pacman) - because sometimes its impossible to catch them (two guys falling at the same fast speed at the same time)

Dude, embed the fonts at the final screen (gameover-screen) - all dynamic texts appears as Time New Roman or something ...

you could also apply depth i mean when you press UP the hero goes farther down (z axix) and when you press DOWN it comes back
you adjust the falling people accordingly and maybe give them a little shadow too :)

what's new:
-first cosmetics changes (start up window, how to play window, and other stuff)
-life bar added. now the game is over when your life bar is down
-new counter: rescued people
-depending on how you rescue people, your added points may vary
-embed fonts! if some are missing, tell me...
ideas:
-level selection. for example, in one level, you'll have to rescue 20 people, for example...
-bonuses that are falling: if you take then, you have more life, or more points... and you don't lose your life if they go down...
magnetos:
-yes, a shadow that goes bigger when people are fallin is a good idea. i was just thinking of the way of doing it. and also, all that sprites maybe will slows down morethe game...?
about front and back position when playing... mmmmhhh, i'll see, why not?
errrh, that game was just supposed to be a very little project ^
