This may not be your problem, but it is something I have encountered:Quote:

If I attempt to use "Test In Player" while I have a sprite open for editing, I get a black screen. If I close the sprite in the outline panel, or just click another object in the outline panel...it works fine.
hope this helps.

If you try to use "test in player" and now player shows up, you probably need to install the flash player.
You can download it here:

My Flash player is installed, and it's not a spite problem, i just can't figure it out - any other thoughts - anybody.
Is it working for other movies? Perhaps you have an improperly placed remove, stop or unload movie command in your swi... just a thought.Quote:

Artgeek- it’s a good thought, but this problem is even on movies I am aware work – since I created them prior to a format.

The flash player does not function?
Then you need to go to the above link and get the flash player.
Not to be confused with the shockwave-Flash plugin that operates within the browser.
The phrase "Flash Player" is a bit confusing.
There are several different things that are "Flash Player"
1) the Flash Player ActiveX control that lets you play SWF files in Internet Explorer (or other ActiveX enabled applications
2) the Flash Player plugin that lest you play SWF file in Netscape browsers
3) the authplay.dll that is the flash player when testing within Flash itself (only used in Flash)
4) the standalone Flash Player which is an application that plays SWF files. This is what SWiSH uses when you say "Test in Player", and is also what is used if you double-click on a SWF file from Windows Explorer to open it.
If you have Flash itself, then you should have all of the above. If not, you can download them (other than authplay.dll which is only used internally be Flash itself)
Even if you have Flash Player install from macromedia, that will really only give you 1) and 2) above.
The standalone Flash Player is a separate download (it didn't even used to be downloadable).
Find it here:
http://www.macromedia.com/support/flash/downloads.html
NOTE: The link given earlier by LiasA is for the Flash Player ActiveX control and Plugin ( 1) and 2) above) .. not for the standalong player.
