Consoles
Hi
Just a thought which came to my mind.
How abt flash games in consoles.
I am touching this topic on a radical basis.
Like :
1. First of all Whether it makes any logically sense.
2. Whether Macromedia is coming up with a suitable flashplayer for
consoles?
3. How can the internet adapters dev by sony for playstation and
microsoft for XXBox and similarly by Ninetendo for Nintendo be
used for the consoles if at all Macromedia comes up with a
flashplayer.
4. Is it really possible to enhance graphics in games in flash to
newer levels so that the console tech of faster performance be
used.
5. Will console gamers accept flash games in there consoles
equally serious, if at all.
Just a curious thought, waiting for someone to throw more light on
this.
thx

i think there was already a thread about it some time ago... i mean flash/consoles.
anyway, it doesn't make much sense for me, unfortunately... i prefer to see games faster on a PC rather than faster on a console ^^. but well, why not? you can be proud to present your flash game, perfectly smooth on a big tv screen, the effect is surely great ^^

Well, if the companies provide internet browsing with their machines, they'll most likely include some of the largest plugins, so Flash will probably be there (unless they code their own browser with different plugin specs of course).
For performance, the console's power lies in their graphics processors, not number crunching. The 3d is done via hardware, not the cpu. None of the consoles have hit the 500mhz mark yet as far as I know (this is from memory from reading stuff on www.howstuffworks.com). The next Xbox (if M$ decide to make it after the losses on the current one) will be 800mhz say M$.
