Well, the Thursday event is facing stiff competition from people who want to switch it to Wednesday night at Void, so if you want to see it continue here, come on out to Halcyon tomorrow night!

DATE: Thursday evenings from 9pm (next: 10/19)

LOCATION: Halcyon, 227 Smith Street, Brooklyn (the coolest spot around, beverages, comfy couches, and great trance, deep house etc.)

DIRECTIONS: Brooklyn-bound A/C trains to Jay St/Borough Hall station and/or F train to Bergen station. Walk south about 5 blocks on Smith.

OTHER INFO: Lounge is licenced. Hope to see you there!

Stay tuned next week to find if the move to Void on Wednesdays is a permanent one...

Wish I could come. I loved NY and miss it. I think this tbread derserves some special attention.

Is this a regular thing going on? If it is I'll make the trip from D.C. once in a while. Wednesdays, Thursdays, whatever. As long as I don't make it up there to find out it's canceled. I'd hate to have to come by everybody's house instead.

How about Manhattan? Nothing wrong with Brooklyn, but wouldn't Manhattan be more centralized for everyone who lives in NYC, not to mention easy to get too?

I'm curious about these meetings. I'm new to Flash programming (a few months) and I live around the corner from Halcyon. What goes on at the meetings? I don't have a laptop. Do I need one to attend?

I'm originally from NY...moving back in May. You think this meeting will continue until then?

As far as i know (and i missed last week) it is not official organization. Just group of flash enthusiasts trying to get together, talk about flash news, web events , share knowlege and ideas and simply just drink a beer!! So any ideas that you guys have are more than welcome, you don't have to bring you own laptop or mugs, just come and have a good time!
