Hey, i was just pindering about some of the more advanced photoshoper's (and flashers) progressed. i.e when and why you started, your biggest help/inspiration.
That would be a great help as to what i must venture through in the world of design and graphics :D
hasnt ANYONE progressed? :confused:

ok, how i started (will make a long story short) :
10 years ago or so i became friend with a guy working at a cyber cafe, he had to rebuilt his business website when i met him... i watched him working a few times, and starts being involved, giving him idea "there i would do this" and "there i would do that"... nothing technical, just newbie ideas, but i started to think, after a while "hey, i can do that"... then for a year or so i learned html basics and the like (no graphics/anim yet)... after my 1 year experience i went to a friend house, the guy's wife runs a big business... discussed with him a little, convinced him that it would be a great for her wife business to have a website, he accepted =)
in the process, the person who was supposed to do the gfx for me didnt do them, so i got my hand on PaintShop Pro and made them myself (you cant imagine how ugly they were :smoov: )... i continued practicing html and graphics, started to learn animations etc...
my inspiration comes from art, it could be anything : poetry, movie, painting, music, etc... anything...
and finally, the only advice i would give to someone starting in the business is : LEARN THE BASICS (no matter what you do, anim / gfx / whatever, chances are that these things will be embedded into html pages), AND... you have no idea how stupid you will look if you cant center the awesome Flash anim you made... or make astronomous page-size because you dont know how to make tables...
