omega bird + several updates

for the most curious out there, i completely updated my little web site (this time, it's little for real! ^^), adding some never posted games, plus the old rocky game (old members will probably remember it) and some other. oh, i didn't updated it, just re-put it online.
also i was bored this evening, so i created a very basic shoot-em up (not quite challenging, unless you kill a certain amount of dragons, they will become more numerous and faster); you also have the ability to charge your weapon by clicking space during several seconds. the more you stay pressed, the more your animation and damage effects are important ^^

Love you work but how do we actually play the games? The window that opens has lots of information but no links to play them!

there is no button on the window that pops up...:(

how is it possible...?
maybe that's because the text fill the entire window? so the button is "pushed" outside the window?

did you tried all games?
in the opo up that open, you have:
up: the text (informations)
down: the picture of the game (where you have to click and launch the game) > then sometimes you have to wait a little bit since some projects didn't have a preloader.

The button is there, but its not linked to the actual game.

you mean wrong games are launched?
(i tried, only bobby is 404 for the moment)

in the pop-up window for the games, there's only text and an image of the game, but there's no link to start playing the game. (you placed the <a href="something.swf"></a> around your table code, instead of around the image... )

nope, I just looked at your html code, and the <a href> is around your table, instead of around your image... that's probably the problem...

(it works so well with a mac ^^. i tried with at least 4 different machines without any problem)

works here. but then, i´m on a mac...

great little games. specially bubble bobble. fav of my childhood. ahhh...

Ok...crazy stuff! It doesn't work when I click the image but if I click the image and then press Enter, then it works :D Not much to it but I like small details like the change of explosions when you have hit a dragon several times!

marmotte - Ur too good man, its just unfair to show us all these kick ass games! lol, seriously, they are great... i love the omega bird game (what font did u use?)

Also, have u worked out a way for all imported .gif to have the blurring off, and pixelated look defined instead off blurred? or did u go thru each one changing the settings?!

BTW, phreax is right - PC users click the image in the pop up window, then press enter!

about your gifs problem:
i suppose you have them from gs.archives.com > they effectively look blurry or strangely pixelisated when you directly import them.
how to correct the problem:
1) add an extra tranparent pixel border all around your gifs (sometimes painful)(photoshop for example)
2) always put your gifs in the stage with round positions. exemple: x=15.2 y=0.1 will be terrific. instead always have x=15 y=0 instead
3) then export your flash movie with _quality="low" > i noticed it didn't work sometimes... weird

my font is a game font, taken from R-Type leo arcade game. i have plenty of fonts like this, but 98% of them are filled when embed in a flash movie... :-(

things to come; add a preloader for each game and resolve the attachMC/first frame problem i had with older games.

yay!!! i just deleted my omega bird original fla by mistake! i know it's possible to recover a lost file with some PC progs... maybe someone will be kind enough to help me? if it matters i have the .swf file of course, plus the .exe. thanks, mamma mia!
