Zoooooommmmm!!!!!!!!
This is fast. ;)
Right, so Flash footers next, yeah?
TE
hmmm yeh have they sorted out that bug yet?
i still miss my flash footer.... :(
They just have to force everybody to upgrade to the latest version (.48 or something), if they can do that, it's sorted.
TE
Nope sorry Flashkit is stil FlashFit
The latest version of the Flash Player (6,0,65,0) has not resolved the cookie/javascript problem. No Flash Footers for a while...
I was looking forward to building some Flash Communication Server apps into my footer when I heard of the player upgrade and supposed security fix. Oh well...
Hey starkey, what’s the status on the ActionScript highlighting. You can't be that busy ;) :p
those who are faithful will be rewarded, enemies will be crushed!
I think it's unlikely that flash footers will ever come back, you can dl older versions of the flash player at macromedia and it's not possible to check that everyone has a current version. You won't see flash footers on any other forum (that I knwo of) the security threat will always be there I suspect.
I'd like to see them come back but chances are pretty much zero I think.
:(
Any way to check their player version with javascript? (and redirect them if they don't have the right version)
People who refused to update, could just turn off flash footers.
Or have flash footers turned off by default... you must accept an agreenment (which lists security risks and the like), to turn them on.Quote:

Does this mean MarkP is going to stop riding his bike to power the forums? :( I wanted to see how long he'd last.
We gotta plan! :DQuote:
