Problem with swish menu with sound

Hi!

I've tried making a swish menu that has a sound.

I managed making the buttons with sound... but now that i made links
with them the sound disappeared.

I mean it goes to the specified url but no sound is heard.

Please someone help! :)

Can you please provide a .swi ?
This will help us figure out whats going wrong.

Oops! i just deleted the file :)

But i can tell what was happening with the button.

First i made a button that had a rollover state etc.
Then i made it to sound off when mouse was clicked (on release, play sound "sound.wav")

It was ok... but then i made the link.

(on release, goto url "www.url.com")

It works but no sound is heard.

Well, then i thought that it doesn't have enought time to sound off... and i made it the other way.

(on press, play sound "sound.wav")
(on release, go to url "www.url.com")

Now the sound worked (if a didn't release the mouse :))

But there must be an reasonable way of doing this? I've seen it somewhere...

I'd just like to make a menu that has buttons that sound off when clicked and are linked to other pages of the site.

But that was unfortunately halfway there. The problem is that i think i maybe wanting something that can't be done.

Because i'd like to make the site inside a table... and the menu would be on everypage but when you click the manu that would go to different page (different page inside a table)

Your example opens the url in different window so it can have the sound and work. But what if that would open in the same frame?

That could be made using frames.. i guess... but with tables?...um.

Is there possibility to make a slight delay before the link works? that would do the trick...first there would be the sound... then ... with a delay the link would work.

Maybe it's impossible that way. I would just like to know if there is a way :)
