ok, here's my first totally finished game, and i really mean it!
i already posted an old version of it some time ago, but now it's sooo much enhanced that the game is completely new! plus that old stage is no more here ^^
this time stages have an end, you'll have to reach safety points to achieve the levels.

features
- several stages, with a selection screen. their difficulty is adaptive.
- several stages to unlock
- several game modes
- automatic save & load feature (flash player 6 required)
- sound
- some cool options
- very challenging. the hard/hard+ stages are quite impressive ^^
- rolling demo when you keep the title screen several seconds. like a real game.

game modes
> normal game
this is where you have to finish all the stages in order to save the planet. you have 3 lives, no more.
> score game
this is the place you'll keep playing if you are a hi-score hunter ^^. some stages are locked when you first play that mode, though. it's up to you to unlock them.
> survival game
infinite stage, where you'll have to survive the longest possible. the "advanced" stage is locked when you first play that mode, but once you'll unlock it, you'll surely enjoy it's difficulty ^^

I played survivor mode (the first thing I did) and my score has been adding up for 5 minutes........

ARRH!!! I went to get a drink while my high score was adding up, and when it finished it went back to the main screen! I never saw what I got :'(

5 minutes? naaaaa, i posted the game at 07:19 PM and you posted at 07:22 PM ^^

what? that game is original; i created the graphics, the stages, all. it's not a conversion of an existing game ><

I like. Especially the City Level, with the different heights of the scenery below you.

Sure takes alot of people to fly that ship though.

but I still think rocky the raccoon has the most potential despite the zelda sprites.

about rocky raccoon, well... ^^
i have another engine a lot more performant to create a quite complete RPG ala rocky, but i never posted it (though the game was a little bit more complete than the rocky raccoon, but most importantly a lot more flexible/fast)

about "escape the planet", i finished 100% of the normal mode without too much problem; i only loose 1 life. sure, the hard/hard+ stages are quite challenging :-)

yeah, sorry marmotte. i was trying to practice my french. i guess ill just go and read it to myself quietly.

one thing though Marmotte - you have a palette of at least 5 colours when the gameboy only had a palette of 4.

oooh, i see. i know, french is a difficult language. unfortunately. but thanks for the effort. the way you wrote it meant my game was a real gameboy game conversion ^^

thanks for pointing that out. that's true, i used 5 or 6 different colors, no more.
but it's a pixelBoy, not a gameboy, so i think it will do the trick ^^.
anyway, i used only web colors (original palette, 256). i only took a selection of 5/6 yellow/gray colors.

That's really comming out well, marmotte. The only thing I noticed was that when big rocks broke when colliding with the sides, some of the smaller pieces got stuck to those sides. But that's not really a big deal. :)

Also this doesn't really have anything to do with the game, but I noticed on your site you have a separate JS function to open each link. You can just make one general function and pass the URL and window specs to it as parameters, i.e. function openWin(host, specs){ open(host,"",specs); } ;)

wow, excellent upgrades! about the sounds...are they original, or...from teenage mutant ninja turtles? :D

i sure am glad you are a member here at fk, marmotte, awesome stuff!

and I'm still grinding away at my game.
