First, as I've been kicked in the head because of it, if you want to report a bug don't post it here. Send an email to [email protected] I made this same mistake. They're busy working on getting v4 out so they won't get to the boards as much as they'd like to.
Now, as for your problem, here is how it should have been done.
You've made it waaay to complicated. You added an extra step.
If you want to use an image you have on your computer simply add it to the elements list of that particular button. You only need to do this once. Then you simply highlight it and select "Copy to all button states."
Ok, now on with the file...Oh, I've also added a little --- accent to it.
the export does not do a thing!!!
please check again!
I wanted this:
an image for the button
and another for the mouse over which's opacity grows and covers the old image!!!!
Well then open the program and change the mouse over image to the image you want to use.
If you up load the image to a post I will show you. It's simple stuff.
I want the new mouse over image to fade in over the old one not just appear!
just to appear it's kid's stuff!!
one possibility is to work with childmovies. on mouseover just show the childmovie with the alphaeffect.
ps: you can put the childmovie in the buttonstate mouseover or in the mainmovie, that depence on what you want to do.
if you like to reverse the effect on mouseout, this is much more complicate ;-)
and i think you need actionscripting for that.
The action scripting only works in the 3dfa imvironment!!
Post the gif or jpg file and I will show you.
doesn't matter what gif or jpg!!!!
if action scripting is used, will it work after exported ?
Yes. Otherwise the actionscripting would be useless... :DQuote:

we'll see about that!!!!
