The idea of the (flash) game is cool, but I'm not impressed with the execution :/ it could've been so much better
Wow! Amazing game! Did they use your engine? :D
^^ no, but that's an idea...Quote:

i like the way the've used javascript to scroll a massive image using the browser scrollbars. do you think this is gonna work on all browsers?

I forgot I wasn't on my home machine for a minute there :D
Well, its not that bad on IE, but Opera uses Netscape plugins so it might be slow on Netscape too.
thats very cool marmotte still the character moving is a little choppy
on my 600mhz p3
the html java movement its cool but i dont see why they didn't do it all with flash
personally dont like turn based fighting games like this
thats because you have to fight every freaking minute weather you want it or not :)
although i really liked the final fanstasy series for the playstation 1
i was very curious about this, but once seing/playing it in action was very disillusioning :(
the problem with flash/browser script interaction is that it leads to VERY different results on different pc/browser/os combinations.
(as you can see from the previous posts).
i don´t know the exact cpu speed of my new comp at work (they bought
it on thursday as surprise for me,didn´t look up the system specs, just know that its faster than 2ghz) but the game was so slow i could hardly play it at all.
they would have done so much better by just using a standard tilebased or screensize artbased engine.
its a shame really as the concept/art etc rocks
the only good solution for using browser/flash combo similar to this is combining java/flash.
Heh, very nice. Love that shadow effect on the enemies. However, I think it would be better done using the built in scrollbar component in Flash rather than javascript.
