problems embedding my lovely font... :'(

Hi there,
once again I'm looking for the expert advice of you pros... any help would be great!!!!
Finally got working on my own site and now... boooohooooo.... problems......

I've chosen 2 fonts - one used for titles and button text, the other to be used for all other text. I've got several text boxes, loading text from an external text file. I am set on my font so I've tried to embed it - with very odd results... the text gets squashed, kerning goes and it becomes completely illegible.
Is there anything I'm doing wrong? Anything I'm forgetting...? Or is it simply not a good idea to embed fonts for dynamically loaded text chunks...?!?

The font I'm trying to embed... if you access the 'info' button ('about') - the 2 headings on the right are in font I'd like to use for the text boxes underneath...

Hoping for any help, thoughts, tips ... anything...
