Play Tic Tac Toe
your game is a little messed up man, I won but it said you lose try again or whatever.
Hmmm thats funny i never put a you loose in their :D all it says is game over when the game is over :)
So dunno wat you talking about :D
Haha my little bro just tried the game and said the same thing. It gets annoying when you win and get told the game is over. So i guess i will change it :) but some other day.
But what does everyone think about the ai is it challanging ? And is it smart ?
It's not smart... a human being would never lose a game of tic tac toe (all games end in draws) :)
And you spelled "again" wrong :D
Olorin
Are you saying you couldn't beat the computer ? or it was to easy. Because the computer is constantly playing to win or to stop the player from winning.
And where did i write again ? :D
heh he - thats kool... prety easy to beat tho!!! neway kool game... specially since u were bord
maby u could make the computa take like .5 of a sec or something b4 it goes and thne it looks like its thinking... i dono
"Game over Try agian?"
I mean that it's possible to actually win this game :) If the ai were smart, the game would always end in a draw.
All you need to do is add some logic:
If there are no winning moves, the center square should always be first choice, then a corner square, then another square.

Hey I still think its good
I_am_TheFlasher: Thanks :)
leight: Yeah i think i will make a wait time for the computer to make its decision :) gets annoying when you make a move and at the same time the computer makes a move.
Olorin: My game works of weighted decisions. How it works is when a move is made the computer weights all the spaces which arnt occupied. And rates them in importance. And then makes its decision depending on how the tiles are rated. Winning tiles are highly rated and tile's which are a threat of the computer loseing are rated high to. So the computer is constantly looking for a win or to stop the player from winning. As for the game over im going to fix that :D .
May I suggest you create little pause before computer moves. Just to make it feel more of my turn >>> your turn >> my turn again
Can your AI manage bigger games too? What if you make 5x5 tiles? Or bigger. That could be interesting.
he he - copy cat;) isnt that game u made called naughts and crosses??? i thort tic tac toe was where u had shapes and u had to fit them in??? ah i dono;)
Tonypa:Yeah tony it can handle any size grid. All i need to change is the game rules eg what anticipates a win. Thats actually a pretty good idea because it would make the game more challanging and more lengthy.I might have a muck around with the grid size and the game rules. What size would you suggest ?
Thanks for the suggestion tony.
leight: I thouhgt they where the same game :) i could be wrong.
Can you make 5 in a row type of game out of it?

He's not a fast learner ;)
but I like the game... :D Le him think/respond a litle longer to make it look realer :cow:
Maybe I suck, but I got dealt a whoopin'
Yeah i will make a pause before the computer makes its move. Like everyone is saying it will be more realistic. As for the 5X5 grid i can do that. I think i might make this a complete game. 3 different difficulties
Easy = 3x3
Medium = 5x5
Hard = any sudggestions.
Just have to make some graphics to make it look more presentable :)
Just looked at the screen shot you sent me tony and do you mean a 5x5 grid or a five in a row win? i can do both.
BLDesign: haha i tends to do that from time to time but i have made a combo to beat it almost every time but sometimes it catches on and woops me :D
if you play tic-tac-toe long enough, you discover the formula thatr GUARANTEES that you will never lose ;)
Haha please fill me in on this formula :)
is it the one where u go to one corner,
then opposite corner... corner left... and u got a 3/2/1 way win:D i use that alot:D:D:D
