targetpath ... easy one?

Hi all,

I am trying to concatenate a variable targetpath and access a variable array.

the array in an aboslute path can be traced allrigt!
_level0.submit.countrydrop.drop.myList()

but I am missing something here?
_root.activeDrop = "_level0.submit.countrydrop"
trace(_root[_root.activeDrop].drop.myList);

trace(eval(_root.activeDrop + ".drop.myList"));

I would like to know how to do it without 'eval' ... clues?
