Wacom tablets - anybody got one?

Hey everybody, i'm in the market for buying a Wacom tablet. Does anybody have any cool ones to recommend?

had a wacom a couple a year back, now got a trust 200, no real difference in the two except the mouse on the trust has three buttons not two and it looks cxosmetically different.

think the Trust is a good competitivly price tablet, The Wacom was more expensive and did the same job as my new one, (sensitivity and quality of construction about the same) only replaced it due to kids pulling it about and the cablen got a bad connection.

would buy a wacom again if this trust 200 broke on me (more for its looks), but not until kids out of the way ,LMAO

I suggest the intuos 4x5 :)

I've got a wacom intuos A5 and I'm very happy with it

remember bigger isn't always better, they take alot of desk space ;)
think about what you are gonna use it for, small detailled drawings or big ones

OK, Its not a Wacom but the Nisis Easypen G6 is pretty good. I paid about £90, and fairly accurate and includes a transparent flap for tracing.

Recomended.

yep. as stated before, takes a bit of time getting used to it.

I totally suggest using it with Photoshop, Illustrator, and definitely Corel Painter 8.0...

I have an Intuos2 12x12". It's good for tracing stuff. Zooming into photos and touching them up...

I got an Aiptek to see if I would like a tablet (cause they are cheap) and I love it, no need to upgrade yet...

well anyway if you realllly need one the wacom graphire (a6 size) is a good one to start with. you can get a cheaper version without mouse. i got mine for 45 euro. anyway any more would be a bit overkill maybe a5 but no more... atleast not for animation drawings.

thats so cool! I bet its not as cool as it is in the teaser though, and since its new, it would have some bugs. Like if you wanted to scroll a page, it would click...or exit out. 80 bucks isnt too bad...im actually tempted to buy it. But I'll wait till it evolves.

Wacom definately. The only decision really is the size. I have used every size tablet and I like the 9x12 and 12x12 best. Check on their site every once in a while, they have refurbished stuff for half price.

I had to choose a tablet a couple of months back.

I compared the graphire2 wacom to the Dolphin tablet and found that the dolphin was much better value.

just remember....the smaller the active area, the less distance your arm travels to get your cursor from one side of your desktop to the other.

A6 (4 x 5 active) is about a good size says this long term tablet user.
