I am sure this has been discussed before...but it is always interesting none-the-less.....for us new to the community...
What is the origin of everyone's handle here? (Do the kids still say "handle")?
Mine is from a Kinks song called, obviously, Phenomenal Cat.

the 01 is the year of my high school graduation...
This is a combination of my initials and middle name. I use it on many boards and in UT2K3 / Red Orchestra, though sometimes I use Osama Bin Lindros and KimJongIllin'.

Mr. Gerbick is the 208 year old uncle of Dr. Octagon... a Kool Keith character from the Dr. Octagon cd released in 1995.

Back in 11th grade of high school I was in my first year of japanese class. We got to choose a japanese name to be known by for the rest of the year. We were given a list of names to choose from and I picked Yasunobu. I thought that it was an interesting name at the time.
The 13 in my name came from choosing an e-mail address. It turned out that yasunobu was already taken, so I picked the unlucky number to go along with it and it stuck. Hence yasunobu13.
I also go by BitwiseOR sometimes. That came about when try to explain to my girlfriend what the '|' symbol was. I said something like "it's that virtical bar on the same key with that slash, in programming it's a bitwise or..." nad she commented that it souned like the name of something. Since then, I've bought the domain and use it as my gaming name.

my name is sometimes confused to be my last name when in fact it is an altered last name of a man that went by the title "southeast ripper" such as a killer and all..which was originally vacher, but i then added the T in the middle cause it looked better, and BAM! made a logo to go with it and made a web site

hurricane graphics = name of my little design company thing, so when I signed up here (there and everywhere), I tried to use 'hurricane', of course that was taken on Day 2, so it became hurricaneone.
Now I'm hurricaneone everywhere I go, online, anyway.
I just Googled it - nothing too exciting, just a lot of FK and someone using hurricaneoneAThotmail (not me)

my last name is norman, so i developed the nickname nordberg during the early 90's because we were all fans of police sqaud/naked gun. people were calling me that so regularly, that some friends thought my last name actually WAS nordberg. when he met my dad, my friend joe stretched out his hand and said, 'nice to meet you mr. nordberg'. very funny. been using it as a screen name every since - plus it sounds kind of geeky...which i like.
