I was doing some math stuff and came across this...
(x2+x1/2)2
How on earth do you expand it?
p.s. the 2 and 1/2 are exponents.

Binomial Berty?
huh?
You can expand it to... x4+x, but sub in some numbers and it dosnt work.
by 1/2 do you mean 0.5 or 1 divided by 2?
by 1/2 i mean x to the power of 1/2, which is effectively the square root of x.
hey squidlips,
can u type out equation again? Use ^'s for exponents, cause it looked abit confusing. Don't knwo which one is the exponent.
:D
Metal Fusion
(x^2+x^1/2)2...
... in words...
x squared plus x to the power of half, all squared
i think that would give you
2x^2 + 2x^1/2
no, if the whole thing is squared it would mean:
(x^2+x^1/2)*(x^2+x^1/2)
x^2*x^2+x^2*x^1/2+x^1/2*x^2+x^1/2*x^1/2
x^4+x^5/2+x^5/2+x
x^4+2x^5/2+x

Like I said, binomial berty :p
but i got it right. HA! :p
