The few flashes of footage that can be seen sure look nice but the video does a poor job of selling it! Some segments you only see a frame of game before the it gets wiped by an image and some text, it confuses my small brain!

this is a teaser,meaning its just a first appetizer,yeah its cut in a way in which you can only see short parts of each scene,we will release longer videos later (as you can see the main aim of the video is to introduce the characters and a few of the vehicles :) ).

looks great, like the teaser, the characters are really well designed, i am a little confused as to what genre this is going to be as this is the first ive heard about it, is it a fighter?
One thing, some of the animations of the characters seemed realy shocky, is this the same in-game? Just wondering :)Quote:

its no wonder you heard about it the first time,since up to now i was very reluctant to post much info on it (we mainly only posted a few still renders up to now)
its basically a 2d jump´n´shoot game like contra (probotector) or metal slug,you can also drive around in several vehicles.
you are one of the titans,you are here to fight the scum on earth.
well,we had to remove lots of keyframes (in the character animations) to keep the filesize down a bit but yeah,apart from that most of that is actual game graphicsQuote:

sadly the contest is no more,some of the sponsors rejected to send their parts for the toolset to the finalists,so the contest rules got changed and the original plan (all finalists should create a prototype of their game within two months once all had all toolkit parts together) was cancelled.the finalists got asked to create a demo of their game within 30 days,without any of the tools.
That basically lead to this: the big boys (who already had those tools) were able to deliver their entry in the given time (especially as they worked on the actual game for quite a while the others were waiting for toolkit parts),the others not.
I was quite pissed about that of course but i´m not angry at all on the main sponsors like discreet (who did their best till the end to get the toolkits together and also sent their parts of it and were generally helpful and friendly all the way down),i´m a bit angry on those who didn´t send the stuff they said they would (won´t tell the names of the bad ones due to legal actions approaching,big names don´t like bad news ;) ),besides that they said again and again they would send the stuff soon...
Anyway,we´ll develop our game on either way (and already did as you can see ;) ) and discreet liked our stuff so much that it will get a spotlight case study soon,so its not all bad =)

titans is an action game with 2d gameplay but (prerendered) 3d graphics and camera movement and panning around the scenary from time to time (so basically put lots of fun eyecandy action =) )Quote:

since its a teaser theres not much to be said, but coming from someone whos done quite a bit of modeling and animation myself:
major props to your 3d artist(s)! really great work! i sure hope the game does those models justice! ;)

I´ll pass your kudos on to the whole team,props motivates us to kick harder =)
I can´t state a release date right now,we have about 65% of the graphics done and we have a good part of the gameplay mechanics worked out but we want to add much more and me especially,i have to push hard to reach the level of the graphics with the gameplay,so yeah,we won´t release it before all of that is in place =)
