Stand-alone player problems

Hi,

We have just finished a game for one of our clients but have found that while it runs fine in a web browser, in the stand-alone flash player it seems to freeze momentarilly about once a second.

To see what I mean download the swf and have a go:

We tried publishing as a projector and the result was the same.

Any ideas whats going on?
Has anyone come accorss this before?
Could it be a plyer version issuse?
