unexpected file format

I have to edit a few .fla's that I got from a client but i'm unable to open them... unexpected file format

i work with plash mx pro 2004

any idea how to solve this problem?

Files between Mac and PC? The PC should open the Mac files if you open flash and use the File/Open menu to drill down to the file.

Also, you need the latest Patch for MX 04. The earliest versions had trouble opening flash 5 made fla's.

if Mac fla, it open fine if it is zipped up.
