yes. it's easier to pick out a name... stuff.. decorate room.. clothes...
I think it ruins the surprise. It would make decorating their bedroom easier I suppose. Plus then they wouldn't have to wear unisex clothing for the first few months - but really, who's going to know?
:)
It's no surprise... your having a boy or a girl (hopefully ;)). Anyway there will be plenty of suspense, surprise and drama on that day anyway... and the rest of your life. Good luck!
It's nice to know what you're going to have. It makes it easier to plan and easier to settle on a name. We "found out" with both of ours, and I felt like I knew them a little better when they were born.
no way!
there are very few suprises left in life, and even fewer BIG ones.
people say that it will be a surprise even if you already know, but i'm glad we did not.
getting to hear the words, "It's a Boy!", is something i will never, ever forget.

I agree. I knew for our first, but the next two I did not want to know. My ex knew, but I didn't.Quote:

as a father of 2 (boy and a girl) i say no way would i want to know (we had the oppertunity to know, but both decided to leave it as a surprise), as stated above, nothing can compare to the words 'it's a...' on the day in question.
What worries me more is the new development to be able to change the sex of a baby before it develops...
scary... just imagine, most men naturally want a boy to continue the blood line, the world would be swamped in men, and wemon would be a minority...
*shudder*
if the theory of jurassic park is true, if that happens, men would start getting pregnant...:eek:Quote:

Umm yeah, I see were you're going with that, and NO it's not gonna happen, you perv :p
why not?
btw... trim down that footer... 300 pixels by 40 pixels is the maximum... mmkay?
we didn't find out for our first. although, i knew deep down inside that i was having a boy... so i wasn't really surprised when they said "it's a boy!"
this time around though, for my son's sake because he's convinced we're having another boy, i think we're going to find out.
this time i feel as though it's a girl. not wishful thinking at all because i would be thrilled to have another little boy. but this nagging feeling inside says "girl, girl, girl". :p
plus then i'd be able to give all of the boy clothes i have to my sister who has a little rugrat running around.
is there some way i could make something similar in flash?Quote:

i haven't had time to explore that option and these people do it for free. :shhh:
Yeah you could, but last time I check flash footers were disable so.
No. Flash footers aren't allowed either.Quote:

Please remove the footer.
Thanks in advance.
but you could make one in php like my random text one below.
I knew we were having a boy. I still don't see the big deal about 'It's a BOY' or 'It's a GIRL'.
Unless you're from Love Canal, those are the only two choices and knowing in advance allows you to prepare for the imminent arrival.
This is already happening in China, where although illegal, selective abortion in favor of male children is affecting the natural balance of the sexes. As female foetuses are terminated in favor of another chance at conceiving a male (following the one child-per family law), in some areas of the country there are 30% more male than female births and authorities are quite concerned that in the near future, 'unfullfilled' or unattached males could actually create social problems, taking out frustrations in violent behaviors.Quote:

In fact, as I saw, there is such an inbalance in China that the numbers of males born is already affecting global population figures. Where there was about a 49/51 female/male population split, the number of males born in China has already balanced that out to 50/50.
That's what happens when your country holds 1/6th of world population.
The good news is that families that have girls are being allowed to have a second child in the hope that they will have that much 'prized' son.
