Sparkle Effect

Hello,

I got this Fla in the movie section. It's a movie that causes sparkles to come out of the mouse pointer as it moves across the screen. I would like to custimize it so that the sparkles come from an object instead. I tried to contact the original author but his email was returned as undeliverable. Can someone point me in the right direction on how to accomplish what I want to do. I've attached a copy of the fla to this post. Thank you.
