You are really lucky to see it in an IMAX theater. There was this museum in Florida called MOSI that had one and it was amazing.
I can't wait to see it either. My only complaint is the new (or older one according to the story :D) Batmobile is sort of crappy looking. I know that it's supposed to be all of this high-end stealth technology and all, but it looks like the designers said, here's 5-billion pounds of metal, and I want you to use all of it. It looks like an SUV after an accident. The offending vehicle in question

mmm... sexy.

Yeah, the new batmobile is not very sexy... Booooooo!
I bet Aversion is first in the cue for this movie! ;)
Can't wait to see this Friday night, it looks like it could the best batman yet.
W00t, that game is gonna rock on my PSP too!
DigitalOne, your name rings a bell, do you happen to go on IRC a lot?
i can't wait to see it. christain bale is perfect for this role...
as far as the car...the chunky military metal thing is actually more realistic imho.
and it will certainly fit in with the story better....
I didn't even think this movie had any buzz around it. After I saw the bastard son of a F-117a and a Hummer as the next batmobile - the others were too smooth/phallic for my tastes actually - and it was supposed to be darker and closer to the real "batman" - read: he actually is slightly cruel but gets by with the name of "hero" barely - it got my attention.
please let him critique Huey Newton in this movie too.
eh, not too excited about yet another comic book movie but that's just me.
Best movie I've ever seen, period.
Bale was perfectly cast, Katie Holmes was ok, action scenes were amazing. Great plot, too.
What are your previous favorite movies, so we can compair? :)

At least in the action category. Office Space and Old School are my favorite comedies.
I saw it tonight, and I have to say it's by far the best Batman movie. I even think because of its darker atmosphere that it's a better comic book adaption than Spiderman 1 /2. I didn't consider myself watching a comic book movie it felt more like an epic adventure.
Best movie of the year by far. Probably in my top 10 of all time.
Great movie, better than the Burton/Schumaker versions (couldn't stand those). The car was a bit much, but at least it was only shown a couple times, didn't really hurt the movie at all.
Although the best part of the movie-going experience came during the start of the Willy Wonka preview. Imagine a deep voiced thug, "Damn, man. When I saw the first movie, I really thought that Charlie was gonna make the wrong choice."
For those that have seen the suit, and the movie they know that the suit plays a pretty intricate role in the movie. And some of the gadgets are really well explained that they actually seem plausible.

In case anyone wanted to know how it works. This explains all it's features.
Yeah, that was one of the things there were emphasising about the movie is that everything is completely plausible.
No, unfortunately they're not. You can go see "Stomp" or "Mystery of the Nile." :D And yeah, it's located in Tampa.Quote:

I wasn't too impressed with this one - might just be I was hearing good things about it and it upped my expectations too much, but it didn't come through for me.
I really wish film makers would realize that they don't have to interject humor into every movie; if there's one story that can be completely dark and humorless, it should be the all-consuming vengance filled world of the dark knight. I saw it a few days ago and can't seem to recall what it was that made that a sticking point for me (I think it was a couple of the Alred/Fox lines) but it just killed the other wise dark atmosphere.
i actully thought is WAS humorless compared to the other ones. sure, there were a couple of laughs, but it leaned way more towards the troubled darker side. i wish they would go totally dark though, but that would be going away from the comic in the other direction.
i still thought it was great. and that hallucenogenic imagery was absolutely amazing...reminded me of jacobs ladder or something....
