[PIMP] pop'n'pinky ~bubble islands~

hello everyone!

i just wanted to pimp one of my upcoming flash game, pop'n'pinky ~bubble islands~.

it should be ready in 1 or 2 months, and will feature several game modes with different challenges. note that those screenshots are taken from the game directly during a "COMP vs COMP" fight... of course a "1P vs COMP" and a "1P vs 2P" mode are available also... and some others!

even though each game mode has a different goal, there are some fixed rules:

- throw and exchange your bubbles, and put 4 of them with the same color to make them disappear

- create combos to multiply your score! (and send parasite bubbles to your opponent. warning, he can do the same thing with you!) < only available in the split screen configuration like in those screenshots

- use the special bubbles (bombs, rainbows...) to trigger special events

- be careful, too many bubbles and the island will slowly sink. remember that you'll fail if it goes underwater and sink completely

there are also several playable characters having different expressions, and tons of little details and animations already...

if you are curious enough, i recorded a 30sec movie including the title screen (probably not final) and the game that starts by itself (when you don't push any key) and shows a COMP vs COMP fight with random characters and random backgrounds...

Now THAT'S what I'm talking about! Seems like 90% of the Flash games I've seen or played all use really basic vector graphics, when you can do so much more with bitmaps. This actually looks like an SNES game (kinda reminds me of Kirby's Avalanche). Good stuff! :thumbsup:

actually i'm planning to release several games featuring pop'n'pinky and all those cute characters... so just be a bit patient and maybe you'll see that game again, just better? ^_^

believe it or not, actually "bubble islands" is done in vectors, i just found the time to import them in photoshop, use textures and such things to make it less polished visually... if you get what i mean...


note that i added a movie showing the game, i updated my 1st post

Dude, that looks so cool :) I cant wait to play it. Looks to be one of the most polished looking games already, and its not even finished!

me been restarted kept on pressing enter lol and then when i went to the gameplay screen lol i kept pressing enter seen that nothing is happening i am still doing it

This game is damn cool!!! You should speed up development so we can play earlier. Can't wait to see it in realtime action :D
