I know it's a service pack 2 thing. The thing is, that with the settings for ie that i have some flash is oood, while some are blocked. So, it can't be an IE setting. Is there something you can do in the flash file?
sigh
Don't think there is a way around it. If there were that security increase would be totaly pointless. The only way to my knowledge is to either turn the hole thing off or right click it and choose to always allow the blocked content for this site.

Hi,
I just upgraded to XP and had this same problem. I made my own homepage (the page that comes up when you open the browser), using flash. Of course this stopped working because XP would read it as a security risk. The odd thing was, it only happened to those files when they were on my own system. When uploaded to the internet and opened from there, the files wouldn't prompt the warning. Now I have no idea why IE would see files on my own system as being a bigger threat then those coming in from online, but in any event I found a way to turn it off...
Open IE and select Tools > Internet Options. Click on the Advanced tab and scroll down to Security. Find and checkmark the line that reads, "Allow active content to run in files on My Computer". That should do it (did for me anyway).
Yeah, I figured it out. Quixx, you're right. (Although I haven't published yet). IE blocks more stuff that is locally on your computer because there's greater restrictions for active content. And thanks for helpin me to get rid of that crap.
In your HTML page, right after
"<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional//EN">" (which should be the first line in your html file)
place "<!-- saved from url=(0014)about:internet -->"
:yikes:
