this is really for the married/parent types here, but you can all play along. nordgal and i have gone through the hypothetical, "If you were holding me and nordboy in each hand off the edge of a cliff, and you could only save one of us, who would it be?" nordgal and i both would easily choose our son...i mean, you can always get a new spouse, right? :)
but what if in one hand you had your spouse (who you love dearly), and in the other a young child you did not know?
who would you save?
The kid for 2 reasons:
1.) The kid has more life ahead of him/her.
2.) Everyone else would think you're a real bastard for letting a little kid die.

Can your spouse grab the kid, or get the kid to hang onto him/her? Then you pull them both up?
No wait...you put the kid and the chicken feed in the boat, cross the river, come back with the chicken feed, pick up the fox...
yea, i would have to save my daughter over my wife.
i love them both equally, but my wife has already lived a good portion of her life, and my daughters is just begining.
plus my wife would prolly have a hard time forgiving me for saving her over my daughter, and we would both have to cope with the loss of our daughter for the rest of our lives.

nordgal and i do a lot of talking...i know, odd for a (happily) married couple...so these things come up. we actually do play yatzee...we have deep space nine stickers on the inside of the box, in which we roll the dice. this is not relevent for any reason.

i too would save nordboy over nordgal, but what if it was your gal over a child you don't know?
Drop 'em both. That way neither can squeal on you. And you get both of there stuff!
