Any of you know of free FTP clients for the Mac (OS 9 and X)? And an easy to use one at that?
Something like Fetch where you click new connection, type in the host, username and password and you're done.

not one App for both 9 and X, but Tucows has a few freeware apps that will get you by.
No, not for both. I was given the task and only told that they are using a mac (and it's the kind of person I'd rather not ask what version of Mac OS they are running).
http://fireftp.mozdev.org/ ?
also, I know you said mac, but i think some people posted about mac in this thread.
Cyberduck is supposed to be the best free one...but you should invest in Transmit, it is awesome.

OSX will run FireFox with FireFTP (as admedia liked to above) or Nvu. With 9 go with something free from tucows.
I went with Interarchy and Cyberduck, and I'm sure this guy will still be scared of them
The problem with FireFTP is that it requires a browser download as well. This person is not technically inclined. And they have no way of purchasing an FTP client as it requires days of processing. Considering how big the company is though, I would be very surprised if they haven't already bought a client.
What kind of company is this? if they are so big...why don't have anyone computer inclined to do this all? or is that semi your job?
I could ask these questions all day, myself.Quote:
