am I the only one who finds those barbaric?
I hope you'll be shooting at paper targets.
Why do you need so many guns? What are you a one man militia?
I'll be shooting at primarily metal targets up to 800 yards.Quote:

Shooting is a sport that requires a significant amount of skill, patience, and practice, and it sure beats the hell out of sitting at a computer on a beautiful weekend.
Effective against what over 1000 yards! When the droid armies attack I'll know who to call.
And FYI, there are other things to do in the outdoors that dont include mindless ballistics. I was taught how to shoot at the age of 10, I know how to handle a gun, and it doesnt make me like or admire them or appeciate them as a sport.
Do you find these barbaric too?Quote:

Just out of curiosity, which is responsible for more deaths? Injuries?
Sweetheart, go rent Blowling For Coloumbine by Micheal Moore.
Im walking away from this thread now.
You play the Michael Moore card? Is that a joke?Quote:

And really, everybody, if a person comes on here showing a gun they have and saying they are going to a shooting range DOES NOT MAKE THEM A MURDERER. They are most likely educated in gun handling and safety and use it mostly for recreational or hunting purposes. Guns are fun for people to shoot. Big loud noises and the occasional explosion are awesome, and as long as no one is in danger, I'm cool with it.
I'm not gonna get on a pedestal and preach about gun rights but I will say this, guns are designed to kill things and hunting sure as hell can't be called sport.
What about target shooting - it's been part of the Olympics for well over a century (1896) - is it not valid sport?Quote:

Target shooting. Umm, by definition it is a sport. It is a physical activity. It requires skill. It is governed by a set of rules. It can be engaged competitively.
Yes, the gun is perhaps the most influential, destructive invention mankind has ever come up with, it kills people, but so do cars, drugs, papercuts and frozen stakes of urine falling from jet-airline toilets...
I had a rough incident with one of thoseQuote:
