The game is almost finished and has progressed under the name Death trip, a name with a long history (originally the name of don't-drink-and-drive capaign contest). So this is a complete remake of a three year old game. Anyhow I don't like the name death trip and was looking for something that would make it more obvious that it is in fact a taxi game without sounding too cliché :o
Sorry for being such a tease, I promise I will pimp it properly (:)) when it's done and don't want to hype it. It's nothing too fancy, it's far, far less realistic Random10122 & Jonmack's engine and nothing at all like LeechmasterB's gta engine.
It's a simple gotoAndStop engine (6*6 tiles, 120*x px) and "loose objects" to spice up the map, it got a nice little system for generating random clients/ destinations and some special clients which feature somewhat of a story. Also the car uses verlet integration to make it response to collision in a nice way - that said it is nothing near being realistic.Quote:
