Is there way in FLIX to have a video auto start and then add a replay button or text on the screen when the last frame loads?

Yes.
You can encode a single frame image that reads "Click to play" (make it the same dimensions as your video). Then use the "Load SWF at end" feature (SWF Tab) to load the video.
Use the same load swf at end feature in the video itself to load the "click to play" image.
