I got an email today from microsoft Norway. They invited me (actually, i think its open to everyone) to oslo for a preview and presentation of Windos Vista, office 2007 and some other technology on May 15. The thing is that I have no contact with microsoft, so I don't know how they got my email. I'm very tempted to go, but Its in the middle of my IB exam.
I'd be skeptical of a preview of windos vista
I'd stay away from that, unless you have test machine that you don't care about
I'd go. Of course it's going to be a big cheerleading session, but I'd like to see what excuses they give for upgrading.
Yeah, its not for my machine! I'm only going because I'm curious, and they have a session where you can ask all sorts of technical questions ( :devil: ). It lasts for an entire day, and one of the sessions is called Windows Vista Deployment, which sounds like an evil plan to spread spores from the alien mothership all over earth. There is also a session about the security in Vista, probably to give hackers a head start :p
They usually hand out free software at those things, don't they?

i can usually determine at least whether or not British terms are positive or negative but I cant tell if 'bobbins' is good or bad?

Lol indivision, I know what you mean. Brits make up all these words because they can never say great, wonderful, awful or crap. Like swampy demonstrated, the worst insult you get from a brit is that something is "not too impressive" ;)
