Confused...
I've scanned the boards and can't find a similar thread...sorry if this is blatantly obvious.
I've had a website for 18 months now, on a simple package with 1and1.co.uk, paying £5 a month for the hosting package and the domain name. I now want to move away from it, and was recommened KoolMoves by a friend.
Can I keep my domain name with 1and1.co.uk, or do I need to transfer it to another site which works with koolmoves?
Is koolmoves all I need to be able to update/edit my website?
And what about hosting it on the server?
Many thanks.

You should not have to move your site. As long as it accepts flash files. Yes, you should be able to create and modify a site with Koolmoves. There are plently of people here that can be a big help to you.

I would change to a better server. What you have at 1and1.co.uk is a beginners place that spoon feeds you. I pay 10 dollars a month and have way more bandwidth and space. Of course that means you have to design what you want. Koolmoves is nothing more that an HTML page and swf's. It is really pretty simple. You will need to FTP but there are free versions out there and even Netscape can do that for you. The domain name should belong to you and would require you to repoint the DNS servers to the approate place which takes about 1-48 hours. The new server company could help with that. Everyone here has there own preference and I could suggest one if you want.
