hold your breath for 9 minutes...how is that even possible?
World record is 8:58 held by a German fellow.
I used to find him interesting but he's starting to annoy me. This was however much better than the weak stunt he did in London.
Seemed as if he really did hold his breath but I don't know how he did it. I thought you would either get carbon dioxide poisoning, or you pass out when oxygen doesn't go to your brain.
Darren Brown is so much more amazing.
i think its a good publicity stunt for him to fail. might make people believe some of his other stunts are real.
I know his street magic is obviously fake, but his other stunts as well? Like when he froze himself in a block of ice or buried himself alive, were those faked?Quote:

He's pretty amazing.
where did his poop go?
He was only fed liquids which were released through a catheter, thus no #2 for him for a week. I was watching this morning, Kelly Ripa went in there with him for a few minutes. She asked him where his waste was going, he said "you're standing in it" haha.
I'm thinking that if you practiced for a good long time and trained your body to slow way down while in a meditative state that you could push the time you can hold your breath pretty far. I know back in middle school we used to hold our breaths just playing around and I got to 3 min once and I had never practiced before.
"David Blane Drowned Alive"
First thing i thought when i read that title was: Well its about damned time!
Second thing i thought was: Can you drown someone if they arent alive?
Then after reading what he did i'm thinking: WTF? how about doing some magic tricks when your done swimming!?
