Might be why he was banned, but why he did that I'm not sure. Helping people is rough stuff and it's hard to do that if your contributions go either unnoticed or criticized. It's pretty lame to go through all your posts and delete them, though.

Wow, what an *******. I'm glad he was banned if that was his recourse for whatever his problem was. Don't take it out on the community.

Anyone in the know won't discuss it for obvious reasons but lets agree FK does not ban without cause. Helpful or not, if rules are thrown aside you become fair game for moderation.

Banning is a private matter.

If he had time to go thru all of his posts and edit them It should tell you that this wasn't an insta ban and attempts were made by the supermod/admin to address the situation and come to a point of conflict resolution.

If you look at OldNewbie's behavoir thru the years he started off great. As time passed he became intolerable. Oddly a change of scenery did him good.

Every Member new and old have to follow the same rules. If one can't abide by the rules at fk there are plenty of other forums.

Robb I have no clue.

He was a big poster in AS and some others.
Wth got into him? Always seemed like a decent poster to me.

What finally got oldnewbie banned? That's a little more odd.

Old Newbie He violated FK rules.

We tried to work with him but he choose to work against us.
He did some post editing himself on the way out.
He was aware that if he did not comply he would be banned.

Instead of politely stepping out because he had a disagreement with fk policy
or following fk policy He chose to continue violating fk rules. While we were trying to work with him he was busy editing his posts.

I've seen him at other forums since he left. as a matter of fact he helped me with a php related question. I think he just needed a fresh start.

one thing is for sure, the guy had an INCREDIBLE amount of time on his hands.

We ignored him and the people in the forum were kind of pissed at the way he acted. I don't think he ever caused any more problems. I left the place in January, so I really have no idea if anything else has happened, but I doubt that he would try it again.

In the early days it was easy to ban by registration or ip. As time went by a few kids got really advanced and spoofing ip's and had thier own reg key generators.

It became impossible to manage.
ban someone and they would show back up in less then a minute
