Hello,
I was wondering if anyone has an idea how Apple created their DVD movie flash effect? Any resources or tutorial links on how one could replicate this?
You can see this by opening up iTunes > Store > Home > Movies (New).
I really like how they did the high gloss mirror effect on the table!

one way is to import a pic into onto the stage. create a movieclip from it. have 2 instances of the mc, mirroring each other with a gradient mc masking the bottom pic, using pic.setMask(mask). each mc must be cached as bitmaps for this to work. i could show u a sample if requested.
