Italian Football Federation commissioner Luca Pancalli has cancelled all professional and amateur football in Italy, including internationals, indefinitely after a week of escalating violence left a policeman dead in Sicily.
As an Italian, raised on the East Coast, I can tell you that this is not the first, nor will it be the last, policeman killed violently in Sicily...
Isn't Italian futbal full or corruption? I thought I heard something about a possible cancellation over that.

I'm sure there is corruption in Italian football (it's Italian isn't it?) but the cancellation came immediately after the death of a policeman in fighting between groups of football 'fans'.
