Start from different OS CD to use First Aid?

I'm running OS 10.4.10 but cannot find the disc.

Will it cause any problems if I start from an older OS(10.2) CD and run First Aid?

I'm sure back in the day it didn't matter but it's been years since I've needed to use First Aid, so I just don't want to break anything...

I can't remember for certain, but I'm sure I've used a 10.2CD to run First Aid on a later OS. If it doesn't work you can revert to your hard drive by starting up holding down the X key, or choosing it as the start up disc from the 10.2 CD menu.

Hmmm... I could only find a 10.0 disc but my machine wouldn't start from it at all.

Perhaps I should just wait for 10.5 to come and get my boss to buy that!
