Any hints for lil' old Chris?
ta,
I have, not sure what hints you want, all you do is call the track method once the game starts:
MochiBot.track(this, "yournumber");
yeah I've used it too, do it just like tony said.
One thing I found is it doesn't handle errors internally (in the class) I had to add that in, you should always error check when using net stuff, I got a nice warning message on the external flash player about a failed net attempt.
hmmm welll I think I've done it all correct then, the trouble is Mochi isn't real time is it? So I can't see if I've done it right.
Oh well time (and a beating off my client or not) will tell,
thanks Chaps,
Chris
The stats are updated only once in 24h.
Beating off your client?
So that's how you get all that high-profile work...
...and yet again you take a very sensible, business minded thread and lower it to your uncouth level.
Danger Mouse was a gentleman sir, and he would be ashamed.
Christopher Error
Ok,more seriously... it looks like the first argument now a sprite, not a movieclip? There was a long thread on the mochibot forum about this, and one of the guys posted an unsupported as3 port of the mochibot code here:
http://www.mochibot.com/as3/MochiBot.as
Talking of dangermouse... this arrived in the post yesterday:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Dangermouse-.../dp/B000HA46K8
Worth £31 of anyone's money. Best cartoon ever made.
The link you posted lesli is the one I am using in my as3 games and it seems to work fine.
completely off topic here, but that amazon page contains all my favorite childhood tv shows. Nice :D
