I would say if you're applying for a creative position, your portfolio is far more important than your CV. As far as your CV goes, I would state how long you've been working on a specific program, as well as your level of knowledge on the program.
In my opinion it's useless to state that you can do Retouching in Photoshop - that's obvious. If you're previous job, however, focussed heavily on that I would list that as part of your job description, and make sure that there's a couple of prime examples in your portfolio.
I second that opinion. As an employer myself, I don't even look at resume's. I could care less. I want to see real world applications of your work, and your general communication skills. Tests are common practice in this industry as well. If you're applying for a programming position, they may have you create a simple application and do it using the MVC pattern, or something along those lines to gauge your abilities.Quote:
