I got this test from my brother. It apparently tests where you are on the "political compass", a 2 dimensional grid of political opinion. Apparently Left and Right wasn't good enough.

This is where I ended up, which is weird, because I don't look at myself as a leftist. Quite the opposite actually.
I landed in almost the same spot. Also interesting, as I am a registered Republican, but I also do typically vote across all party lines.

This is not a litmus question. Just as left and right don't work, only giving me the option to state the amount of my agreement isn't enough. If the goal was to illustrate anything, to me this shows that measuring people with polls is like licking your finger to take the temperature of the sun.
EDIT: Just tried to finish the poll. I couldn't, it's just too stupid. Who is actually dumb enough to think this is a complete question? "military action that defies international law is sometimes justified."
What action? Which law? Where in the world? You can't expect an American with an ounce of self-respect to blindly apply themselves to vague slants. I make decisions based on real circumstances and you no more know how you'd feel about military action than you know how'd you react to being held at gun point (unless you actually have).

Not quite how I see it, a few of the questions were poorly worded, but close enough.

The questions were so poorly constructed for a survey that I couldn't make it through. Looking at the FAQ, it's pretty clear that this was set up by some amature smart-aleck, actually quite ignorant of politics.
There must be a better version of this out there somewhere?

Heh. I don't know where I would of ended up. I just got to the second page and maybe the sixth or seventh question that basically allowed no intelligent response via "agree" or "disagree". Then, I checked out the FAQ to make sure that, if I was going to give enough thought to choose between the better of two stupid arguments, it was for some well-crafted, intelligent purpose. Unfortunately, that didn't turn out to be the case. :)
