[MX] Need opinion about my game loops

Hey all! :) I'm about to finish my next game, which is a shooting one, and I wanted to add some rock tracks to it as I think they fit well for such a type of game. Now the thing is that I've made this tracks I thought would be ok. I made them in other pc (which sounds different from the one I'm working the game on) but when I put them into the game I wasn't totally convinced about how they sound. So I'd appreciate a lot if you could please hear some of them and tell me what you think. First if you think they are good enough (based on the rythm and that), and then if you think the quality is ok (cus that's what's bothering me the most and I don't wanna screw up the game with that :P ) or if the guitar needs more volume or else. very loud and lots of noise,- from a recording quality standpoint its not good- lots of tunes get capped because of the volume- but perhaps that´s just the website hosting the sounds.

Thanks much dude! yeah I know, that's what disappointed me a bit.. the quality of the music, they don't sound as I wanted :( But do you think if the quality was better they would be ok for a game like that?

well I think it is a great idea of recording your own music - and I guess it has what it needs for that. Can´t judge much on the music itself as I am not into that genre of heavy metal and rock- but I assume it is already quite good.

But the kind of music already implies or is often used because it resembles somewhat aggressiveness (what a word)- so a shooter where you need a stiff finger on the trigger might be a good candidate for the music.

It seems to be a trend lately putting such music like yours in games like Ghost Recon, Gears of War, Burnout, Assesins Creed, ect.

The quality didnt bother me, its a kind of music where "unpure" is good thing. Not knowing much about the game beside it being shooting one, its not easy to know if the music fits or not. Shooters are commonly fast-paced so music with faster rythm is commonly used.

From your music I imagine something like tank, powerful but slow moving. Not things like skateboard, light and quick. But since so much is subjective, it could be only me and sometimes doing unexpected things can give surprisingly good result.

Thanks so much tonypa! Good to hear the quality is not sounding that bad :) You're right, It's not too fast paced. Speaking in terms of speed it's a bit slower than Heli Attack.

Thought the heavy them would work well for a shooter.Couldn't help but imagine having some of those riffs in my own games.
Though they did sound a bit 'canned' (obviously a synthesizer) I thought it was better than 90% of the stuff you get on newgrounds Audio Portal.
Got any freebie stuff lying around you don't need ?

Thanks so much Kris! I'm really glad you liked 'em :) Actually it's not a synth :P I think it's the equalization what makes it sound that way. I made them specially for this game so I don't have others round there but if you'd like some of these you can pm me and I can give them to you.
