Hello there,
I'm working on a new platform game (yes, I know I should finish my other game first, but I felt like creating something new)
I don't have much so far, and the jumping is still very buggy, but it's playable, and I kinda like the graphics if I may say so myself.

Does it look good enough to turn it into a full, Mario World style game ?

It's a good start, maybe make the character a bit smaller, and lose barney :). Otherwise it could become successful.

Yeah, the game is looking pretty good. The character does kind of remind me of Barney, or maybe a distant relative of him.
What do you use to create your graphics? Do you just create them w/ Flash 5--or do you use an external image creation software? I use Fireworks--well did--it's screwed up at the moment.
Do you know of any good image software for games? I know there are alot out there.

I drew it in flash right away, that really let's you keep the filesize of your images down to a minimum.
If I want to do non-vector images, I use Paint Shop Pro 7, which I really like too. Lot's of features, very user friendly, and not too expensive at all...
I really didn't know it looked like barney (we don't have that character here in holland) But it's supposed to be a turlte without his shell, and in the game you can pick up several different shells which give him special powers. So, when he's wearing his shell, he won't look so much like barney, I think...
