Just wanted to say thanks!

I just wanted to say thank you to everyone in the games forum who replied to my questions the past couple of weeks. It's rare that you find a place with such a nice group of braniacs willing to help out with the newbs. :)

I have to say, as3/flash develop is by far the best programming language/api I've ever worked with. Flash 10 is alot slower in performance than what I'm used to, but that's ok because it makes you think of ways to squeeze out a little more performance. Amazing what will take place in the browser once flash supports hardware. :yikes:

"what language/s have you developed in before?" Basic, 6502asm, 68000asm, GFA Basic, VB3-6, BlitzMax, C++ and now AS3. Nothing on a pro level, just lots of fiddling about over the years. AS3 reminds me alot of coding on the Atari ST. I feel like I've gone back in time doing all the copypixel stuff. Reminds me of all the software blit routines I coded back then. :eek:
